Witches costume for halloween
With so many styles of costumes for halloween which ones are the biggest hits this year?
The Witch is your classic Halloween costume and both young and old choose it. Having changed over the years, the appearance of the sexy witch, made it even more popular. This look is within the top 10 of most popular Halloween costumes for women. It’s no longer the case where the witches costume is ghastly looking. Nowadays women opt for sexier and glamorous looking fancy dress outifts. Sexy witch costumes range from little mini black dresses leaving nothing to the imagination through to the lengthy and lacy “Morticia Adams” kind.
The there is the devil costume which, like the witch, has changed in style in recent seasons. The sexy devil costume is much in demand and particlarly liked by women because they can make it look very sexy. The idea of being a “devilish girl” is appealing to most.The devil that is often portrayed in films is a bit of a dandy, dapper and well dressed and this appeals to men. Finally, the devil costume is also popular with kids, and come Halloween, you’ll find children in red over-alls with tails and horns sticking out. The devil costume can be used to bring out our mischievous side.
But let’s say you prefer the ugly creepy witch. Here are a few make up ideas to help you on your way.
The main colors we use are green and black. So start by painting your nails black. Then get some baby powder and a little green food coloring. Add a bit of water and make it into a paste and then apply it to your face.So now yoiu ge the greenstick y look of the witch in Wicked. Stick a huge wart on your nose to add to the effect. Witches aren’t supposed to be pretty. Next, tussle up your hair. Make it look unkempt and stringy. Your costume doesn’t have to be perfect either. Your “ugly witch” look can be enhanced by making it look ragged. If you want to dress up in a sexy witch costume, a fitted long black dress or a short one will suffice. Add some high heels, a witch hat and some fishnet tights and you are all set. and you’re good to go.
You want to go as the devil himself?
RED is the color here. For men, find a red suit for your sexy devil costume and top it off with plastic horns. Make sure your hair is oiled and slicked back. If you don’t have a red suit, try some red long john’s. Attach a home made pointed tail and you’r all ready.
For womens’ costumes, a form fitting red dress will work. Match it with red high heels and sleek looking hair. Finish you look off with a few sparkles and don’t forget your horns!

Yes its true., I always think of the wicked with in sleeping beauty. I never thought that the witch look could be evolved into cute and even beautiful. You just need to put a creative mind on something to completely transform it

When i was a kid the big thing was getting your mother to buy a turnip and then carving it out with a spoon until hollow inside. Then you cut the eyes and mouth and made a place for the candle inside. You could only burn the candle for so long otherwise it started to cook the turnip
But the whole exercise had a definite halloween experince to it.
Dressing up was not as elaborate as today. We just grabbed some stuff and added a face mask with some elastic behind it. You can hardly compare that with the range of things on offer today. It seems more of a theatrical prodcution with all the different types of witch costumes and son on.

Pity about Heath Ledger passing away. This guy brought some real menace to the joker. The first time i saw him i was not really impressed with his low voice delivery but i was wrong. He was very good in his roles and always brought something different to the parts he played.

Yes, Heath ledger is the casanova thing but i prefered Peter OToole as the casaonova character even though he is the older guy. It took me some time to get used to ledger as the joker because the last film i saw him in was broke back mountain and the roles are so completely different.
