Girls Witch Costumes

Witchcraft in mythology, is the use of certain kinds of supernatural powers. A witch practices of witchcraft. While a witch costume is supernatural, people have been accused of witchcraft, or have claimed to be witches. Witches are usually women.

In early Europe history, witchcraft was seen as a diabolical conspiracy against Christians, and accusations of witchcraft led to big witch-hunts.

Witchcraft is normally a cultural ideology, for explaining human misfortune by blaming it on the supernatural. It is known, however, that many of the stereotypes surrounding witchcraft evolved out of more well meaning pre-Christian beliefs about spirits, and some of those accused of being witches were in fact healers rooted in these same beliefs. Witchcraft has also been applied to cultures outside Europe, holding similar ideologies of supernatural misfortune, as well as to describe a wide variety of magical and practices.

Our modern day celebration of Halloween therefore has a rich and varied past.
Today we use this folklore as an excuse to dress up in witches costumes and play the part for one evening a year.

Here’s witch costume type game you could play this halloween :

Body Part

This game is fun to play at a “scary” sleepover and can be accompanied by other witch and ghost stories
You will need:
Paper Bags
Plastic Bags
Peeled Grapes
Canned Apricots
Popcorn Kernels
Cooked Spaghetti
Tomato
Macaroni Noodles
Jelly

How To Play
Ask the kids to sit in a circle in a dimly lit room while you tell a story about a old witch who falls apart piece by piece. As you talk about each of her body parts, pass around a paper bag lined with a plastic bag, and have the kids feel inside without looking.

Each bag you fill should hold a different body part that has fallen from the witch. You could use peeled grapes for the eyeballs, a canned furry apricot for the tongue, pop kernels for teeth, cooked spaghetti for her brain, a large peeled plum tomato for her heart, cooked macaroni noodles for intestines, a slab of jello for the liver, and so on.

Now ask the kids to try and guess what food you used for each part of the witches body, and the person who gets the most right, wins the game..

She also appeared in the Carl Barks’s “Too Late for Christmas” in Donald Duck Adventures (Gladstone Series) #30 in December 1994 and “The Poorest Duck in Duckburg” in Donald Duck Adventures (Gladstone Series) #35 in October 1995. There is no doubt the longevity of this character also drives the demand for the witch costume for halloween parties.View more posts for themes using a disney costume
