Batman Costumes for Boys
Thursday, June 9th, 2011Batman has been a popular character in TV, movies, games, comic books and more for decades. Little boys, and sometimes girls, have enjoyed wearing Batman costumes for generations. Here are some ideas to help your child have fun with his Batman costume well after Halloween.
!Host a super hero party!
Does your child have a birthday coming up? If so, make it a costume party! If not, throw one just for fun anyway! Invite guests to come in their own costumes if want, but also have a pile of extra super hero props, such as Batman costumes, on hand for those that don’t come dressed up. Plan games and activities for the kids to play that focus on super heroes. It can be just as fun to put out the many bins of your child’s super hero toys and just let the kids play.
!Let him use his Batman costume as every day wear!
So what if your child wants to wear his Batman costume to the grocery store, doctor’s office or park. It doesn’t hurt anything and will give you, your child and just about everyone you come across a big smile. Take pictures of your child wearing his costume in random places. You’ll have mementos of a special time in his life that he will look back on fondly as an adult. Batman costumes can also make great pajamas. Just throw the costume in the washing machine with the rest of the laundry and then stick it right in your child’s closet or drawer.

!Use Batman costumes as a bartering tool.
Tell your child that wearing a Batman costume is a great responsibility and that he has to be good and helpful when wearing it. Make a deal with him that he only gets to wear his costume after he cleans his room, does his homework or feeds the dog. Establish a rule that children who whine, argue, throw tantrums, tease their sister or act in other negative ways do not get to wear Batman costumes that day.
