If you are thinking of setting up a costume for your little girl this season, you might like to consider from a range of princess costumes. If you have some sewing experience, and are patient , you will certainly be able to create a nice original design. So grab a pencil and paper and start sketching out some ideas. Remember, your final costume can be used several times over, which will happen if you put some thought into it now.

Find a shiny fabric three quarter length dress. Make it simple and sleeveless, and comfortable to wear. Satin is good because it is a fabric that does not irritate the skin. This will be the centerpiece for your princess costume.Next find 3 sheets of organza, in pastel colours.

Using the three colors of organza, make 3 wider layers for your dress. Add the first below the chest of the silver dress. Ensure you create ruffled layers, and continue adding, until you cover the complete dress. We suggest Organza because it is see-through fabric, and great for working with, so you will have no difficulties in producing your design. Do not worry if the dress is too long because if the silver dress is too long at this stage you can add one or two more layers as you go.

Soon you will start to see what a wonderful combination of colors you have formed, and that a striking little fairy princess costume has come to life. Before sewing the layers to the dress, pin them on, and make some adjustments. When you are satisfied, sew them onto the dress. Use beads of the same colors as the fabrics you have used already, to make some nice decorations. Pastel organza, works very well with perlized beads, so indulge yourself and create some magic for your little daughter. You could of course,buy a ready-made fairy wreath , and add a pair of fairy wings. Now she is ready to enter the scene as an enchanted fairy.
