Great for any child in grade school. The pictures, however, are probably the best part. Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.

Oh, I so disagree with the Editoral on this book! The writing has a wonderful rhythm, and I love reading it aloud! The situation is absurd, which makes for a hilarious book, plus the illustrations are first rate. The facial expressions are so human like, they make us laugh. There is nothing frightening about this book. In fact, the scariest scene is the front cover with the lamb posing as a vampire. Sheep Trick or Treat is a short book and can be read in less than 2 minutes, but it usually takes us longer because we love the illustrations so. I think it’s a WINNER, and one I highly recommend over other not so good holiday works!

A fun, funny book that is great for a Halloween library.

The Kindergarten students join in tugging and tugging to move the pumpkin. A great book for a school or classroom library. It is one of our favorites.

We have a lot of fun reading this book. It made ghosts, witches, bats and the like as susceptible to failures ? as the rest of us.
Our whole family enjoys this book. Audrey Wood is one of our favorite authors. All of her books are a delight to read. I meant to select 5 stars, and I can’t change it now!
My daughters, ages 4 and 2, have requested this book every night since I bought it 3 weeks ago. They even take it down from the bookshelf themselves during the day to look at the beautiful illustrations. The story is wonderfully written, and my daughters love trying to remember who gets turned into what food. A great buy for our family.

If you’ve never carved a “Pumpkin Moonshine” you’ve missed a wonderful part of Halloween.

As a little girl, Tasha Tudors delightful story was a favorite of mine. My children grew up carving pumpkins, not into jack o lanterns, but into Pumpkin Moonshines. The “grands” now enjoy grandmothers love for the season and the wonderful “Pumpkin Moonshine” with the re release of this beautiful little book to be loved by all.

As a kindergarten teacher and, now, as a mom I just adore this book! It is so cute. The repetitive text and “sing song” nature make it lovable for all ages. The characters, although traditionally spooky images, are not scary at all and I have not met a kid yet who has not loved this book.including my one and a half year old son. After just a few readings he was “singing” along with me and constantly asks to read it again. I was thrilled to see that amazon offered a hardcover version.

classic by two time Caldecott Honor artist Tasha Tudor will not be surprised to find a happy ending to this exquisite, gentle story. Tudor’s delicate orange framed watercolors of a rural autumn and a bonneted little girl speak to a softer side of Halloween one that is not overtaken by werewolves, blood, and gore, but is a reminder of the season in all its fresh abundance.

Through the years I have purchased many Tasha Tudor books for family and friends; this new printing is excellent. The illustrations same as orginal version are superb and the text is quaint but clever enough to keep the attention of small kids or new readers. Highly recommended for Halloween or year round.
